I’m not sure how long it took my normal vision to return. Duno and I lay entwined on the dusty stone floor, both our chests heaving as we struggled to regain our breath. Despite the exhaustion, though, I felt better than I had since we’d entered this god-forsaken tomb. And when I looked up at Duno, she was radiant with Kosmic subtly emanating from her body. She readjusted her Cloth, and I saw her face light up as she scrambled to reach past me. Duno sat back up, resting an elbow on my chest and clutching a crystal in her hand. It was a deep, bright green with flecks of gold that glowed with the same brilliance as her eyes. She held it up for me to see, positively beaming.

“My Liege,” she said, he voice smooth and sated. “We made a Union Crystal. Are you willing to take me into battle with you now?”

“Always, Taurus.” I leaned in to kiss her again as the crystal vanished in a shimmering dust, going to the Aether, but was interrupted by the sound of hurried footsteps heading our way. As distracted as I was, I managed to will my Cloth back onto my body just before Juliet stepped up to the doorway. She kept her head turned, resolutely staring at the floor.

“Is it... okay to come in?” She sounded just as awkward as she looked. I quickly extricated myself from Taurus, returning to my feet and standing tall in my armor.

“Come in, Juliet,” I said, my voice booming through the modulators, giving away no hint of what I had been doing just a few moments earlier. Even Duno somehow looked completely together, barely a hair out of place, though there was still a blush across her face. Juliet wandered in, relief clear in her face when she saw us both fully clothed.

“I think I know where Alecto took the other Zodiacs.” Juliet pulled a laptop out of her bag, setting it up on top of Leo’s sarcophagus.

Duno and I crowded around her as she pulled up a series of radiation graphs that I couldn’t make heads or tails of. But then, she pulled up images, crumbling stone columns, seas or orange rooftops, deep blue waters. I figured it had to be somewhere off the coast of Greece, and Juliet confirmed my suspicions when she muttered, “Corinth.”

“Great, so we know where they are. Now we just need to figure out how to get to them.” I paced the room, itching for action now that my Kosmic energy had been restored. “It won’t be easy without Aquarius’s portals.”

“Anything else will take too long.” Duno scowled, examining the photographs of the ancient Greek site closely. “Though Aquarius is no expert, under the guidance of Alecto, she’ll be able to open a portal for the Xenos in just a matter of hours, perhaps even minutes. And if I’m not mistaken, this city—your Corinth—is much like the Spider Lair. Ancient runes will allow Alecto to summon only Zeus knows what beasts to wreak havoc on your world.
